https://www.acmemachine.com/ar-308-15-super-slim-m-lok-gen-ii-free-float-handguard/ I have this on my LR-308 & I am using a Aero Precision low profile gas block & it fit's fine. The diameter is 1.39" I have a .750" gas block on my midlength 16" BCA 416 r stainless barrel. Not a issue with it at all they also carry this in the 10" your looking for. Here's mine on my rifle current setup. I forgot to note, that the Acme Machine rails are nice quality for the price. They are DPMS pattern high profile, perfect for the Aero Precision M5 Uppper & Lower.

The mount is a Division G4 mount, got it off Amazon I have had several & never any issues. I have read that they used to supply optic mounts in the 90's to the military but not sure if that's true or not. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B69QFQR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Well picked up a Armalite carbine gas tube, got it installed. Then got a Helius Tactical 1776 brake for it. Used a jam nut this time. Got the scope remounted onto it. Speaking of the scope, I have never had any of these scope mounts do this, but it has happened several times already, the scope seems to keep sliding back in the mount, I have all the screws torqued to correct specs. So will I have to lap this scope in this mount to stop this. I did do a old trick my grandfather taught me, he used masking tape that had a rough texture to it, cut small strips & put them on the top & bottom of the mounts then setup the scope again.. Leveled of course, what is pissing me off is this will be the 3rd time resighing in that scope because of the POS mounts I keep getting. Well it even did this with a Rock River mount several times & also. Not sure if it's the scope or the mounts. The scope is a Vortex Crossfire II Vbrite retical 6-18X44. Nice scope but I am going to get rid of it if it keeps slipping in the mount or lap the mounts to see if this would help. I am going to do a video on that Helius Tactiacl 1776 brake, I have notice not many review on it, I got the suggestion on one of my AR10/LR308 build groups. So I am going to try it out, from what I have seen in some of the videos I've watched is that it works real well with muzzle rise & recoil placement. So if anyone has any suggestion on that scope slidding issue please let me know, thanks.

What's the smallest part you started a build with?

I got the barrel first, it was a impulse purchase because of the sale price. -
Yeah I haven't measured any of those groups but I didn't think the where to bad considering the ammo & shooting off a bi-pod. Here's the setup I was shooting. That's a older pic I only had 200+ round through it then. Also that barrel is strange. When cold I'll get some strange groups, but when I gets hotter it seems to get tighter groups.

Now will these work on a DPMS pattern BCG? Thanks for the link

Some pic of targets at 100 yards. steady rate of fire. I am using a Vortex 6-18x44 Vbrite retical scope with a Division G4 mount that I found on Amazon have had several of these mounts they work flawlessly for the price point.

I have that same barrel & it has performed flawlessly. It is really accurate with the correct ammo. I have found 149 grain & 140 grain work well. Even fires the 150 grain Tulammo very well also.

Well I did it, finally got the Armalite AR10 carbine tube installed, It does look much better. Looks like where it should be. Now will that help with recoil, not that I worry about recoil. I also have a Helius Tactical 1776 black brake coming. Cannot wait to get it had great reviews on their website. Now just need that muzzle brake & it will be done. Also does anyone have any experience with JP Enterprise's one piece gas ring for the Bolt. The original would fall on it's own weight, I guess its the same as Ar15 bolts they have to hold up to their weight. Well the JP one doesn't, I states that it won't. I have about 300+ rounds through it already but wasn't sure why it was killin gas rings. Thanks. Please let me know where to get some good to go gas rings.

Yeah my Aero M5 build is LR-308 DPMS profile, like other's have stated the other upper's where not any profile but theirs, M&P, PSA etc. I got the set the M5 lower & upper, with Aero's M5 lower parts kit with their M5 buffer tube kit, with spring & 2.5" 3.8oz buffer ( I think ).

Well that's great could that mean why it's still processing after ordering on the 9th, by the time I ordered it was Out of Stock. I'll call them Monday to see what's going on with it. Still shows processing on their website, also still no shipped confirmation. But hell they took my money though.

That's what I've been asking. Now what kind to get, I am not tearing apart the barrel again to measure the gas port length again. It cycles fine just want the correct parts if not using the correct parts. So where can I find a Armalite gas tube. Been looking everywhere. Also which one to get Carbine or mid-length Armaliet tube. The barrel I have is a Mid-length gas. This is the length of the tubes I've been using, 11 3/4" tubes. Now do I need the Armalite 12" or 12 1/16" Thanks

Here is the Buffer kit I used, again I used a Aero Precision M5 buffer kit. I counted the coils on the buffer spring 27, it's 11" long. Now the barrel is this barrel (see pics) I did just notice it says AR-10 which is Armalite profile barrel. I didn't see it state anywhere on their being DPMS profile on that barrel. I did purchase it on Primary Arms website At this time yes the rifle functions but I want to make sure that it is correctly assembled. I wasn't sure about that barrel when I purchased it, I did because I was really trying to build a functioning AR-10/Lr-308 rifle under $1,000 dollars. I won the bet & made myself $50 bucks. I hope this information helps. Also the ejection pattern on all ammo used is at a good 3'O'clock ejection pattern. Now would a Armalite profile barrel even fit in a DPMS profile upper like the Aero Precision M5 upper? Don't worry you won't offend me, I like it when I get replies back with a down right honest answer. I just don't want this rifle tearing itself up by using incorrect parts. Thanks.

It's a mid-lenght gas on that 16" barrel. Now would a Armalite AR-10 Carbine gas tube be long enough, also where to get one? I have looked, most are out of stock. It has a .750" diameter gas block by Aero. I got a Aero M5 lower parts kit https://www.primaryarms.com/APRH100158 Now if getting a Armalite Carbine gas tube, would that help with recoil management a bit? It has a kick, a bit more than most have had. Thanks for the information.

I got this since I went with the Aero M5 lower, ejects perfectly at 3'Oclock. Could smooth it down A bit just looking for that right muzzle brake.
