  1. @mrraley I completely let the auto @address screw me up. My apologies.
  2. @mrmackc @98Z5V Wow! I really don't know what else to say. Just, Wow! I had no idea. How awesome is that?!?
  3. Feel I should add, my previous post had no ill intent on Jacob at all. Didn't want anyone to think I was complaining towards him lol.
  4. Oh don't you hate that mixed carrier garbage! I know I do. FedEx gets it too Atlanta from anywhere in the US in two days tops. Then USPS takes 4-5 days to get it less than 30 miles!!!!! I have another package of bikinis coming right now from California, ordered yesterday morning and they're in Atlanta already. Should be delivered by tomorrow afternoon. All one carrier and it's only standard shipping. Geez... Now I'm all rilled up in my soapbox LOLOL.
  5. @mrmackc Yeah, what a novel idea..... It's a shame we couldn't try that...... I agree with ya 100%!
  6. Got my Beachin Speedsling on order!!
  7. Howdy from GA! Welcome!
  8. That is too nice! Thank you so much. I've got it on the back burner at the moment, but I'll be in touch soon about it. Once again, y'all are the best out there!
  9. Correct, it "should" lol. However the screw itself was too long and the ball could almost fall out of the gap between the knob and body. Which in turn made the adjustment clicks loose and too easy to turn (like brush your arm against it and turn 5 clicks!). So in essence, the shim he made just shifted the screw to the left, which made the gap on the right non existent. The shim could be thinner and allow the ball and spring to work as designed, but I kinda like it over tight like this. As is, there's still a audible click and positive stop, but it takes some serious effort to twist. It definitely won't be accidentally adjusted lol.
  10. Will do! Excellent advice and preemptively answered my next opinion question lolol!!
  11. ^^^^^^bwahahahahaha^^^^^^^
  12. @98Z5V I don't think I'd even attempt past 100yds to be honest. These are literally just making me feel covered in case something ever went screwy with the scope. I've kinda put my whole 3 gun idea on the back burner for now, so they're literally backups.
  13. Awesome!! I figured I'd be better off with them super tight and less likely to be accidentally shifted. I hope I'll be able to to see over my brass bag!
  14. I should have added that the reason for the question is because it's now super tight to adjust for windage, and I kinda like it, but again wanted y'all's opinions.
  15. So I recently received some cheapo auction site 45° offset fixed A2 sights. As was to be expected, since they are cheap, the rear windage adjuster was supper loose and sloppy. Hubby took them to work and made a shim washer type thing to add between the screw head and body of the sight to tighten it up some. Basically pulling the adjuster knob inward by pushing the screw outward. If that makes sense lol. Keep in mind that these are only backups, only meant for less than 100yd emergency usage. Would any of you experienced guys see any use in needing to finger adjust the windage knob on the fly? After it's initially zeroed I can't think of a reason I'd need too considering it's purpose, but I figured I'd get y'all's opinions.
  16. Exactly! With all I've learned from you guys on my Gen2, I'm overall pretty happy with mine. Had I not found this forum, I'm sure I'd be beyond upset. I'm afraid that these Gen3's are still just attempting to mask the problems instead of correct them. But I'm sure they'll sell plenty of them.....

    Grilling

@Cunuckgaucho Oh man, if your ever in GA again, let us know! We can show you all the best southern dishes. And boiled peanuts are super easy, it's just really salty water and peanuts. They take some time to cook (4-12hrs depending on how fresh they are) so have a good supply of beer to go along with them. Other flavors can be added in as well. We like Old Bay crab seasoning and red pepper flakes.
  18. This may be way outta bounds, if so I apologize and will drop the idea, but..... Has anyone ever considered making a "PA10" repair/reliability kit? Surely one could source at cost buffers, springs, gas tubes, ejectors, etc etc. Put em all in a retail kit form and sell it for somewhere in the $100-$150 range. Not saying it would be a large profit, long sustaining business plan, but for someone already into the parts or custom market it might make sense. FYI, I have zero time available to try such a endeavor, so don't expect that kind of effort from myself lolol.

    Grilling

We quit doing the standard dogs and burgers for our daughters bday 4 years ago. Cooked enough for 60 folks, 60+ showed, and we had enough left over for probably 20. So we said screw it, we won't do burgers, but we'll boil peanuts instead. Went over big-time. It's a official tradition now lol.
  20. The gas block just blows my mind though. Wouldn't it be easier and more cost effective to just use a proper port hole and tube combo? For that matter, proper buffer weight and tube lengths wouldn't seem like that big of a deal either, but who knows........
  21. On the upside, like I've said from the word go, if it wasn't for their failures I/we would have never found y'all. So who knows, maybe some open minded folks will find 308AR and stick around.
  22. @98Z5V No, no, no, they clearanced it so it only costs an additional $0.50 to keep it from hitting lolol.

    Grilling

So the grill isn't coming out till tomorrow, but we're doing a total of 50lbs of boiled peanuts in the meantime!
  24. So I know it ain't much, but it's celebration time at the Westgadad/Peachey household!
