  1. Yep that’s where we were. I shot my first 47/70, belong to my brother. Heck of a gun “I WANT ONE” lol. I didn’t want to run him out of ammo with it but it hit everything I shot at. Good family fun.
  2. Took my AR308 to the range and met some family there. We took them out to 700 yards with know issues except carrying all the gear to the line, I find I need a cart. I wasn’t sure mine would be sighted right since I had removed the scope and replace it after some work to it, but was hitting steel at 200 within a couple rounds. Then took it out 300,400,500,700. The more I shoot it the more I’m impressed. Great way to start a weekend.
  3. Also thought about buying a nice plate carrier and set it up with mag pouches. I hopefully will never need plates for it but it would be set up for them
  4. I still have the FLC I was issued in the Army in ACU pattern. I might use it and build off this vest since I do like and was use to how it fit. Olive green doesn’t look bad on it but wish it was more multi cam
  5. That is nice
  6. I wasn’t impressed but what ever. it was a serious question for me but sorry I asked it. If I could delete it I would
  7. Hmmmmm was he
  8. Actually I think I’m sorry I asked this.
  9. I’m humping an AR10 for everything. I have more confidence in the 308 over the 556 or Grendel and ammo is available. Just looking for a way to carry mags
  10. Those are really nice setups I’m jelly lol
  11. I’d like to see the chest rig if ya got a pic
  12. Very nice I like that option. I’m partial to the lbs of the 80s and 90s. Wouldn’t mind a mole suspender set up with the saw pouches.
  13. How many mags can you carry in that set up?
  14. I scrape it out as best I can with a scraper or even a screw driver. Then I have a little round brass brush I put in the end of a military barrel rod, (it slides in) and brush back and forth around the entire area. It takes it all out.
  15. Is that a condor pouch?
  16. Just curious what do you prefer to carry your 308 mags, LBV, Chest rig etc. I like the 25 rnd mags and the surplus pouches don’t accommodate them very well so looking for a better set up
  17. Mine I had to drill the gas port out a fraction re installed the seekins adj gas block and works great. Barrel is a Ballistic Advantage mid length 16 in and love it.
  18. It amazes me how much effort is needed working out to lose a pound after 50 you. I do 9-13000 steps a day everyday on average, plus elliptical when I can cut down meal portions and watch what I eat and still struggle with weight loss. I need a good 40 pounds to be where I want, so not to bad but what a challenge
  19. And I should’ve used my led sled just forgot it at the house. I mean it grouped, just not the 1 to -1 in group I like to see. It was more like a 2-21/4 in group. I’ll be doing this again maybe this weekend.
  20. True statement no complaints with the rifle, matter of fact is a dream. Technique is good but do need more practice. I did find a load I like so try again in a few weeks.
  21. Went out this last weekend to try a few reloads and I like the LPVO Burris I have on it, but it’s hard to shoot groups at 100 yard with only a 6 power. Maybe a new scope in the future
  22. I posted all the info in a post called gas block. I’ll try to find it
  23. Thanks for the suggestions, I’m looking at all also at surplus ammo. I’ve used Surplus ammo a lot for my parts just not in the 308.
  24. I bought a profit elliptical last year and been using it off and on. I get going in a training routine then get sidetracked when something need attention etc, but trying to stay on a schedule. I need to lose 30 pounds at least.
