  1. It spent most of the time on a 6.5 Grendel and I only took it out to 300 yrds, and the hold overs were pretty close. See below for model i don’t have enough scope knowledge to tell its going to be on or not. no fast fire on it though
  2. Did you ever get the SwampFox? Looking for a report, how you like it and is it holding up.
  3. I have a Burris 1-6x24 that I’ve used on my AR’s in the past. It’s now found it’s way to my new AR308 and curious if the hold overs will still be accurate for the 308. Any ideas or experience with this.
  4. Great statue, 12 strong
  5. I might change the scope if I can find one that’s lighter but as good
  6. Thanks, it’s an all around rifle SD, hunting, an plinking. My main goal was a rifle with enough whallup to put anything down in Arizona and I can pack in on a horse, without it being my very nice 32+ yr old 7mm mag. I always f lt under gunner when in the military with the 556 and with this one I think that’s been corrected.
  7. Its 1-6x24 and it’s a great scope. Gathers lite very well. I’m curious if the hold overs will be close with the 308.
  8. Another pic this time with a Burris scope.
  9. After about 21/2 years I’m finally in the AR308 club. this build took so long because parts were hard to find during Covid for me and I kept changing my mind on its furniture, but tonight I completed it. still might have some tweaking here and there and change a couple things along with a scope but nice to see this one completed. Thanks to all for input when I needed it
  10. I had one of those lmao
  11. Thanks guys. I figured barrels we not specific but wasn’t sure.
  12. My brother has a left handed stag and is thinking of rebarrelling, my question is anything special about the barrel because it’s a left handed Armalite pattern?
  13. So I get the new tube and slip it into place. The tube extends about half way across the notch in the upper so that’s about right , but touches the barrel nut. getting frustrated now
  14. I figure the 11.75 will work fine. I ordered one last night
  15. It extends past the cut out.
  16. Working on my build and time to install the gas block and tube. Put everything in place tried the charging handle and bcg and Houston we have a problem!!! BCG won’t go into battery and long story short pulled the gas block and tube, bcg locked right up. My conclusion the 121/8 gas tube is to long for my set up probably need an 11.75 AR15 gas tube.
  17. I’m definitely going to try it before I make a decision on it. It seem heavy and bulky compared to what I’m use to. thanks for the instructions to remove it got some strong springs lol
  18. Put this but stock on my lower build but the jury is out if I like it. If I want to take it back anyone know or have an easy way to remove it?
  19. Lol oh good lord
  20. Thanks everyone for the reply’s
  21. Working on my first AR308 lower on this fine Father’s Day, and noticed the mag catch doesn’t seem to thread into the button very far. I’m using an Aero M5 parts kit on an Aero lower. I usually thread the catch in flush with the button. it does seem to work fine when I put a mag in just wondering if I have an AR15 mag catch.
  22. Not sure I’d like the backwards set up, sounds awkward from what I’m use to
  23. This is the first action rod I’ve tried, I still use the old military style fixtures for my AR builds but this 308 is to big for it
  24. Ended up getting a wheeler at a good price.
