  1. Man, that’s a pretty sweet friends hookup right there. $60 off is a solid deal
  2. Didn’t come here to throw you under the bus, though I’m not gonna hesitate to do it...I do seem to remember you having a couple of receiver sets just sitting around. Sad, lonely, hoping one day to be picked for greatness.
  3. That. That right there is funny as shitt
  4. So no one can hit me with the ole pictures or it’s not real bit. Also I’ve got some additional mags stuffed in the side pockets, so about 100 rounds or so. Can’t tell what it is from the outside, just looks like a Tactical over the shoulder bag.
  5. I think you’ll be happy with that upper Doc. The Foxtrot Mike uppers aren’t anything too fancy, but they’re certainly solid for the price. Mines held up quite good so far, and I haven’t been dainty with it at all. I’ve even carried it around in a small bag a few times, when I feel like taking something heavier than a sidearm somewhere. Also, I’m glad your wallet didn’t make it thru the Primary Arms sale unscathed since you were the first to invoke “the rule” on me haha.
  6. I’m jealous dude, been since last year that I had a nice pile o gun parts show up like that. I think you’ll have fun with that PCC, something about those silly things are just fun. I definitely put more cash into mine than I should have, but it’s fun to play with. I was looking just a few mins ago at some Odin parts, for my mandatory 6mm ARC build that some fukers are forcing me to make. Let me know what you think about the Odin stuff you got.
  7. I know I’m late to the thread, but what can I say, it’s already well established I suck haha. Anyway, this is a setup I’ve been running since about summer of last year. I was skeptical of the Holosun at first, but it’s held up really well to the beating. I intentionally took it to AZ last fall for the shoot, and just threw it around the desert. No problems what so ever. With all that said, I still can’t decide how I feel about pistol red dots. Are they fun to shoot, for sure. Are they quick for practical shooting drills, absolutely. Do I like it more than standard irons, I honestly don’t think I do. Something about the way I run sidearms, I have to actually make a conscious effort to present it the correct way to see the dot. It’s easy to do, especially practicing drawing a few times, but honestly I just prefer irons.
  8. I bet he’s scared to build it Mike. He’ll start playing around with Glocks and then catch full blown Glock fever. Once that happens, he’ll fall out of love with his single stack 45s and be sad.
  9. Welcome from Nevada
  10. The more I sit around and stew on this build, the more I like it. I’ve got that Nightforce scope just going to waste on that 700 project. Nothing wrong with the 700, it’s just not really exciting. Plus, when we did the high angle shoot last year, I discovered just how fukin miserable it makes everybody stuck in the small shooting hole with you. Blast is outrageous from that bastard, bare minimum it needs a flash hider not a brake on it. Anyway, I had thought about slamming the Nightforce on the LWRC REPR, but it really needs a LPVO on it, not a 5x18 or whatever that Nightforce is. Fuker will work beautifully on a DMR build though. Just absolutely diggin the idea of a LaRue build for you, that’s gonna be bad ass. I’d love to build mine as an MK12 style, but all that schitt is too pricey for me at the moment. I’m thinking 18 barrel like you already threw out, and some sort of full length rail, maybe Midwest Industries?
  11. I like the plan brother. It wasn’t the rifle I had originally in mind to build yesterday, but I think it’s gonna turn out to be a bad Mofo. So far my original digging yesterday didn’t turn up many parts, but were also 5 days in to original release. According to the press release, like 15 companies have committed to supporting the caliber, so somewhere out there everybody is just hiding what they got. I know for sure Faxon and Ballistic Advantage are making barrels.
  12. That would be sweet, actually able to step them bastards out like they need to. Also that should give me enough time to piece one of these bastards together. I’d be interested to see how it competes with Grendel, cause that really impressed me last year
  13. Oh I’ve been caught in a trap my brother. The old man just chuckled when I thanked him for not warning me. “Oh, I figured I’d mentioned that at some point”. Thanks you rat bastard . I’m gonna be a good sport, and abide by said “rule”. Might take a while, but I’ll see what I can do. Y’all better watch out now though, I’m gonna be waiting for someone else to slip up.
  14. Oh boy, this is gonna turn out to be an expensive question. Barrel and bolt alone are about $330 together, not to mention the 2 types of factory ammo are $1 a round.
  15. Oh man, now I’m worried for whatever I’ve started
  16. Was just reading up on this over on Brownells website, was just curious if anybody has started building one yet. Here’s the link https://www.brownells.com/guntech/6mm-arc/detail.htm?lid=18076 @98Z5V I know you already like Hornady stuff as it is, looks like you’re gonna get stuck building yet another AR in the name of science I’d be curious to see how this stacks up against Grendel
  17. That’s fair. I’ll take it off your hands if you don’t like it, but I’d be shocked if that’s the case.
  18. But it’ll look so cool. We all know that’s more important than some minor burns
  19. In fact on that thought, don’t waste your time with an oversized bolt release. I put a Seekins oversized release on mine, and hardly ever use it. At first I used to lock the bolt when I changed mags, but now I run I prefer to just download the mag a round or two. Slam the mag and rack it in. You shouldn’t really have that issue anyway since you’re limited to 10 round mags, but here on the free side of the border it helps with the 33 rounders 😁
  20. I’ve never noticed gas coming back so a gas buster isn’t necessary in my opinion. If you’re gonna run it supressed, maybe, but even then I doubt it would be an issue. I’ve got a Radian Raptor on mine, you can never go wrong with that on any rig as far as I’m concerned. Mine doesn’t have last round hold open, so I definitely wanted a large ambi charging handle. From what I hear, very few of the PCC lowers actually have last round hold open. Even the ones that say they do, usually don’t work worth a damn.
  21. Yeah I certainly agree with you on the 308 side and their complete silence on the matter. Seems like they’re just hiding from people that purchased that stuff at this point.
  22. Believe it or not I’ve had zero issues with any of my PSA builds/parts. Now with that said, I haven’t touched that abortion known as the PA-10, just played with their 5.56 stuff. As far as I know, their 9mm stuff runs fine, though they do throw out the disclaimer their 9mm specs may be different than other makes.
  23. That’s a pretty good price, seems like most of the dedicated lowers are way more than they should be. The KE arms lower I used for mine was like $150, maybe more I don’t remember exactly. It’s billet, but honestly I don’t care for that anymore than forged.
  24. At the end of the day, it’s a blowback action. How over complicated can it really be? Maybe I shouldn’t say it like that, someone will take it as a challenge.
  25. Well hot damn, glad to see you have the same luck I do haha. Usually I’m the one that buys something and then it immediately goes on sale. Primary Arms will randomly just unload those FM uppers like that, hell the one I got even came with an unmarked Radian Raptor charging handle for around that price. On the plus side, the other parts you’ve been talking about seem like high quality stuff. Not sure about that short stroke BCG, but honestly I don’t know anything about them. I do have to agree with the idea of don’t add complicated shitt though as a general rule.
