Well after getting over being sick I finally got to mess with the grill today. Come to find out all that was wrong was the cord was burnt where it it had been laid on the grill while it was hot, I'm assuming. So I cut that piece out and spliced it back together and works like a charm! Now I have a control unit on the way I don't need and went ahead and ordered a new cord.

Thanks @shepp. I emailed them. I won't have any serial numbers until tomorrow but I believe what I've found online is there are 2 different versions of the DB and one has a different board. But I'll just talk it over with them and get it figured out after I get my hands on it. Appreciate the heads up on the igniter, I'll pick one of those up as well.

Supposedly it won't turn on or do anything. I haven't actually checked it myself yet. I'm picking it up tomorrow so I don't have it just yet.

Thanks for the replies! I just got home so I can delve into it a little better and figure it out. I do know this one already has wifi on it though.

@unforgiven is there a difference in the new boards. I've noticed a couple different versions looking at them online. I believe this is probably an older one. I'm getting it for free but it supposedly needs a new board.

Anybody have any experience changing the board on a daniel boone grill?

Right now i have some new Hornady brass and good mix of once fired. Not sure on the primers, my dad does the loading so I'll have to check. I have Hornady 140 gr match hollow points and 140 eld m for shooting. For hunting I have 140gr accubonds and 130 gr Sierra gamechangers. I'll get some more stuff when i find some at non astronomical prices.

Just curious if anybody has or knows of any good loads to try in my 6.5 cm.

I was always a nikon fan. They've been good scopes for me. But as shooter said they are no longer in scope biz, so in my search for new brands I've really started liking vortex. Just put one on my 6.5 i just built and am pleased with it thus far.

Ok, finally got a chance to go shoot it. I must say i was very pleased with the results. Bolt locks back on empty mags. No problems out of either of my mags. Feeds and cycles all rounds. Ejects cases at about 3-430. Only issue i had was with some hand loads not letting the bcg go fully into battery. Only got 23 rounds through it today so it still has some breaking in to do. These were my best groups. The 3 shot was the 140 gr accubonds i had trouble with and the 5 shot was 140 gr sellier & bellot fmj I bought just for breaking in. Let me thank everybody here who helped with getting this build where it is and made it a lot easier getting it how it should be from the get go. It is greatly appreciated and I couldn't have done it with it you.
