  2. Here's how I see see it. There is two parts. In many cases there are reps in the districts who will vote pro gun because their voters work for these companies which also support a lot of the local economy. Thats why even some Democrats will vote pro gun despite party pressure. They like their jobs. The other part is the funding for lobbying, elections, court battles etc. While gun owners contribute to these causes it's not much. It's the folks who profit who spend the most on these causes. I was reading that the shooting industry brings 1.4 billion dollars to the CT economy. While I cant fathom that it is what it is. This is why we will have the mother of court battles here and CT might be the Alamo for the Second Amendment. Without big money in states from the gun industry this shit can spread like cancer at a rapid pace. We will lose the majority in the house from the loss of the once pro gun or even middle of the road representatives. No path back. Remington once called CT home. They were a massive part of the Bridgport and CT economy. About 40 years ago they left the state. That timing coincides directly with the anti rise to power here that has never left. Governor Dannel Malloy stated he did not care about the impact of the legislation on the CT economy. He was only concerned with public safety. Meaning - we will just raise everyone's taxes to make up for it. jmho and I hope Im wrong

  4. Is my room ready?
  5. As I keep repeating. Fleeing is not the answer. It's a short term solution that will hurt us down the road and make the other side stronger. Everybody needs to stand up and fight. The industry, the sport and the 2A will not survive based on a few states.
  6. Im not certain which link your referring to.

They are ok, your buying nostalgia, a niche piece with the PTR. Some purists still consider them surplus parts/refurbs. Mags are dirt cheap and plentiful
  11. How about two lowers, one with a light weight collapsible stock and one with a PRS or equivalent. That will give you balance for any upper you dream of. Dont share BCG's.
  12. I hate heights and a lot of this shit straddles the edges.
  13. Of all the mags that are hard to get the FNX 45 is one of the worst and it does not use the FNP 45 mags
  14. Im thinking the dude should get the same treatment the dog received only with better aim. The park is a bad place, but thats another story.
  15. This infuriates me. This park is two blocks from my house. BTW the male LEO in the video is my next door neighbor.
  16. I used to ride with a girl who spent time volunteering for some nuns in New Mexico. She would ride her mountain bike into Mexico to help some locals. One day she got a flat tire while we were riding. She had these hard plastic liners inside the tires. She said they were for thorns.

  23. My first mountain bike was a 1992 Cannondale M800 "Beast of the East". Great bike, simple, reliable, effective and light. It was also my first experience with toe clips. Took the bike to my old ladies which is in the same industrial park where we work. At the time there was a lot of factories under construction so there was a lot of fun terrain. So I ask the little woman if she wants to watch me ride, naturally she agrees. So Im wrestling getting the toe clips "just right" and the entire time she is voicing her concern for my safety. Finally as Im approaching this little 10 foot section of sand I snap at her "I know what Im doing" and not 3 seconds later I hit the sand, the bike stops dead, stays upright for a few seconds and we fall over. Not missing a beat she says "So you meant to do that". To this day I still hear about it.
  24. I want glasses I can use for shooting, fishing and cycling. Im confused, there is talk of inserts and shit. I dont mind spending some $$$ to get something good. When I asked my eye doctors assistant she pointed me towards this wall of sunglasses all of which were suitable for driving a car and looking cool. None of which would stand up to the outdoors. Anyone know the deal?
