  1. i agree with jgun. does the pof fill a need or want? it'll be a semi precision rifle where the acr is a carbine. i have no experience with either but they are apples to pears as to what they are individually. good luck, let us know what you decide.
  2. <laughs>
  3. dang, good luck drew
  4. here's where i thought you said you were an ak fan, i retract a previous statement
  5. i remember that day. the point is you can have a 14.5" bbl with a muzzle break for your combat carbine and a 24" precision rig for just that, both specializing in what they do, but who wants to clear the house with a 24" gun or shoot distance without heavy magnified optics. you said in another post you are an ak guy,you think you can ring steel at 1000yds with one, say in five shots? probably not unless you have practiced. bet it would be easier with a rifle built for it.
  6. welcome
  7. yes boss, i am holding the right to wait until after the ump project. i'm thinking 18" dmr.
  8. sounds like you'll fit right in. on the .260, there's been some conversation but no one is going for it, yet (robo?) the .308 can go 1000yds, but no one will discourage you from being the first .260 guy <munch>
  9. welcome, only one problem. there's no cure. i keep buying and building but nothing satiates the hunger.
  10. better than the cost of life and limb. it's a safety precaution, and like wash said, most of the time you will be good to go. it's just just better to be sure.
  11. welcome. nice knife in the pics, yours? i like the top one.
  12. oh yeah, you're a funny guy. >:( . <laughs> alright i guess it is funny, except for my wallet.
  13. Rifle ? All I see is windage and elevation marks floating in multicam. Well done
  14. Ok, this is probably a bad idea, send me info please, thanks.
  15. I would go ma ten, and it might be more affordable than you think, pm Dave, the group buy could bring it in reach.
  16. 20" good, my larue is 20" and is also a 1/10, loves 168 gr. federal gmm. i feel i can easily shoot 600 +
  17. can't wait to meet you on my next arizona trip ;D although i'd go with europe and the final countdown <lmao> <laughs> or how about salt an peppa push it? <laughs> good ol' dpms decided to change receiver heights after a few years of production, just to mess with people. many aftermarket rail makers offer something for both. have you decided on a receiver yet?
  18. The. 308 a is heavy to start with and we are just giving a heads up. How about more details, is this going to be a bench rifle or is it going to be carried around? What are your goals for range? Looks?
  19. If sourced from the same manufacturer with the same length and twist than no. Keep in mind the sass barrel from dpms is a heavy barrel in terms of weight, where a fluted barrel is much lighter. If I were to build right now it would be an 18" dmr. Krieger or Lothar Walther barrel.
  20. Welcome, we like parts porn <thumbsup>
  21. Welcome
  22. Couldn't find on their web site but it might be worth picking up. The only other way is I can scan it and post it but I the the text would be tiny.
