  1. here too, this is crap, does a collapsable stock all of a sudden make it more dangerous? shit, correct me if i'm wrong but don't it go BOOM! <dontknow>
  2. jp from larue just emailed me, he says they will take the pre- order now, except they will not send me the rifle with with the ctr stock, only an a2, which he says is all they ship to mass. that's bs because my obr came with a prs, which i know is fixed, but come on, i don't have a machine shop at home but drill a hole, pin it, tack with a welder and done. little frustrated now
  3. hey, you guys are still better than us massholes, i have to buy used glocks, still hoping to find a gen 3 gun that i can legally own here. nice piece. i still go to ct for most of my shopping needs minus actual gun purchases
  4. i think for her it's an ejection port thing. brass whizzing in front of her eyes. she is thinking of a stag, which may end up being my first frankengun. never did a real build but i would try to make it the best i could for her. i would feel better about building her a 71 chevelle with 454 and 200 shot!
  5. ok, silly me, but, why? what does the handgun rounds offer that you couldn't get from the typical rifle rounds. i understand if it's just something you really want, we all have our vices, (anything that goes boom for most of us!) but are there any advantages. i thought that i might get the kriss super v, but if an ar in 45 acp works better or offers some thing more i would change my mind. <thumbsup>
  6. momma san agrees, speaking of momma san, she is a wacky lefty, and loves to shoot my obr but doesn't seem to have any options in our favorite caliber. any help here drew?
  7. <dontknow> , breathe, eat, shoot, play hockey, sex, sleep, repeat, oh yeah work to buy more gold medal match!
  8. jp at larue wrote back, $2495 for 7.62 and $1495 for the 5.56. due out in april. i wrote back asking if i can order one now or if i need to wait, more to come, so excited!
  9. larue tactical has announced at shot show 2011 that they will be offering a light weight version of the obr, dubbed the predator, for both calibers of the obr. it will be offered in 16 and 18 inch barrels, offering the 16 inch obr 308 model at an unloaded weight of under 8 lbs!!! i just sent them an email inquiring when they will be accepting orders and will keep everyone up to date. can't wait to add it to my 20" standard as a battle rifle in my safe!
  10. i have a tops 107d steel eagle with the serated edge and it has a great balance for a big knife
  11. i know this is late but try t.a.g ( tactical assault gear) for molle gear, i just finished my eagle ind. ciras vest with mostly their stuff and i like it.
  12. i'm north of you in mass, 15 min from enfield.
  13. how about the company primary weapons out of idaho… anyone heard or seen their rifles in person?
  14. alright, that is f.#$ing cool! <thumbsup>
  15. Like a genie, <thumbsup>, I'm lucky,my sig. other is just starting off with bodyguard 380 and is an unfortunate lefty and left with one choice in the ar market
  16. I like the si receiver, but i'm wondering, how much do you save doing it yourselfand how difficult is it. I have a decent mechanical ability but I may run into legal issues living in mass.
  17. Spellcheck for jg anyone? <lmao> But anywho one of my local gunshops has a near endless supply of c products magazines, not sure if they would mail them, but it could be worth a shot. Riverview sales, Windsor Ct. Good luck
  18. Thank you and thanks for the great site
  19. Sorry if the pic is iffy, it came off my phone. I did this at 100yds with 168 grain federal gold medal match in my 20 inch larue obr.
  20. Thanks jg, but I would like to stay with the dpms/sr25 style receivers, thats what my larue is and I have been buying and using those mags, so the fal platform just does not appeal to me personally.
  21. thanks for the info, anyone out there own a lwrc repr or a lmt .308? still trying to get some ideas. most of what i have heard of pof was not good, and other than larue and the two above the only other rifle that's catching my eye is the kaiser, which i have only seen through the link here.
  22. wondering which would be better for a battle rifle. i currently own a 20" larue obr which i shoot regularly to 330 yds at my local range and would like to get a 16" or if i get a lucky class 3 permit from my local police chief, a 12". reliability and accuracy are more of a deciding factor than price, and my larue shoots 1/4" groups at 100 yds but is too big for what i want this rifle to be. there are many choices out there and i am looking for all the info i can get. any replies are greatly appreciated, and if anyone is considering the obr, i have nothing bad to say, 100% happy, no failures, ridiculous accuracy and the 16" is a finalist in my di choices.
