  1. @roach0415, I just punched a barrel for my gun pusher this afternoon in his shop, that was too small. Took about 4 minutes, going slow on the drill. Hand drill. Your pilot hole is already there - use it. 18" midlength gas barrel, 0.750" journal size, with a 0.069" gas port. NO WAY that's gonna work, and the primary reason that the guy's gun just sucked. It went to 0.085" with a quickness. Brave it - it's really, really easy to do. Go slow on the drill speed, and let the bit eat. P.S. No wooden dowel in the barrel. Just go slow with the speed... The dowel is for those that are skeered...
  2. At the end of my .mil career, I went through alot of the shiit that he tells at the end of this interview. Done it - docs pushing drugs. Injuries, Docs pushing the fucking meds, etc. It's pretty wild to see this, in an interview, and someone straight up opening up about it. I did the pills those quacks gave me for about a week and a half, and went back and told them to fuk themselves. No fucking way was that working for me. Gabapentin was the one that made me tell them to fuk themselves - for back and neck pain, from ruptured discs and bulging discs. Fuk that drug. That shiit was crazy... This is a wild interview. Connect the dots, listen to the names. It's a mind-blower.
  3. This one I just posted is pretty fucking profound. It'll shake you.
  4. Don't know how many of you guys ever watch any of this, but you need to see this one. 4.5 hours, plan it out. This is the interview with DJ Shipley, Don Shipley's son. It's unreal.

  6. Busy, man, busy. Always on the go, but check in everyday, and post what I can. I read this thread everytime there's a new post. Next weekend is another shoot, locally. The one last weekend, pistol heavy, was great. Just always on the go, or reloading ammo...
  7. Mix this stuff with Bailey's, and it's like a desert. There's no way you'll get through a bottle, though, and be blind, holding your nuts...
  8. Eric, that is IMPRESSIVE!!!
  9. JAY, NICE!!! The shiit is addictive, I'm warning you! It's on my Favorites List!

  11. I love 203s, brother. I've got alot of time on that platform. Like "perform intricate brain surgery" with them...
  12. VG6 is excellent, IMHO. I have a bunch of them. If you run the 300BLK 2-port brake (threaded 5/8"x24), you can run the CAGE Device on it, and it's effective. I love that combo, and have it on a whole bunch of guns. I've talked here a bunch about drilling gas ports. It's not hard, and you definitely don't need a drill press to do it. You can do it with a hand drill, and if you snap off a bit, you had the drill going too fast. Go slow, use WD-40 for some lube on the bit, and put a 1/4" dowel down the barrel if you're nervous about breaking through and hitting the other side. If you're going slow, that shouldn't be a concern. Go slow on the drill speed, light pressure, lube the bit, and let the bit do the work - let it eat. It works. Your pilot hole is already there, so it's pretty hard to fuk it up.
  13. ^^^ This.
  14. Chip, this will answer just about any question you have on recoil systems, and most other gas system questions. If you need to ask anything about this article, just hop back in here in this thread, and ask away.
  15. Congrats on the 7mm-08! That's on my horizon, it's the last basic-caliber .308 Win derivitive left for me. The the G trigger over the LaRue, there's really only one that's gonna deliver a real difference, and that's the Hi-Speed National Match trigger. It'll be just under $300 for it, but it's a difference over the LaRue, and one that you can feel. I have a couple of them for certain guns, but most builds, I just use the LaRue MBT-2S.
  16. Okay... Don't modify that extension, just get rid of it. Can that whole recoil system, completely. Two choices that will not fail you will be: Armalite AR-10 Carbine Recoil System kit, it's everything you'll need, or Armalite AR-10 Rifle Recoil kit, it'll have everything you need. Don't worry about which one will work, they both will - just get whichever one is in stock at the moment. That's the beauty of running the PRS 3 stock. Thank you for the dimensions/config of that barrel. I have alot of experience with that exact setup. While you're on Armalite's website for the recoil system, toss in an AR-10 Carbine gas tube - you WILL need that. The wording is correct, Armalite calls it "Carbine" for a midlegnth gas tube. It'll be the correct length that you need. Your gas port in that barrel will be 0.070". That's what they always do to those, and the way they make them. It needs to be 0.080"~0.085" to run right. 18" midlength from them, always manufactured the exact same way.
  17. This will BE SWEET!!! Oh, if you ever show up again... Fucking Hermit...
  18. Give me your barrel specs, and I'll tell you what the gas port diameter should be. Overall length, gas system length, and gas block journal diameter is all I need.
  19. Seems PSA keeps me busy. Figure out what the "real standards and specs" should be, make the guns that, and they magically run. Unreal, that they haven't fixed their own guns yet, or listened to a single thing. Thank you, PSA!
  20. We'll fix the gun in short order, man, don't worry about that. If you don't mind, what forum recommended you here? It's always nice to work together with other places, and there are a few that don't play around and just recommend us.
  21. Roach, keep the extension. Get any old AR15 H3 Carbine Buffer, and the Armalite EA-1095 spring (or the Sprinco Red spring). Put two quarters in the extension first, that's 0.069" thick each. Then spring, buffer, etc. That'll turn your 7 3/4" internal depth into what it should be, 7 5/8". No more hitting the lower with the BCG after you do that. After that, it's gas tube length, and gas port diameter. The only two things left to making that gun eat just about anything, and function correctly. Welcome aboard.
  22. Here's the 6-hour interview with Shawn Ryan, with the men that were actually there, and went through it... Please invest the time required to get through this...
  23. There's alot to this, more than meets the eye - and the public media. Shiit hit the fan when 45 pardoned these guys. But there's a reason he DID do that. It's never been publicized. Shawn Ryan got into this, and interviewed all of them. This is almost a 6-hour interview - took me the last three days to get through it all. IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME, over several days, to watch this. The Nisour Square massacre occurred on September 16, 2007, when employees of Blackwater Security Consulting (now Academi), a private military company contracted by the US government to provide security services in Iraq, shot at Iraqi civilians, killing 17 and injuring 20 in Nisour Square, Baghdad, while escorting a U.S. embassy convoy.[1][2][3] The killings outraged Iraqis and strained relations between Iraq and the United States.[4] In 2014, four Blackwater employees were tried[5] and convicted in U.S. federal court; one of murder, and the other three of manslaughter and firearms charges;[6] all four convicted were pardoned by President Donald Trump in December 2020.
  24. And engine blocks...
  25. Ohio deer. They're always "healthy" and fattened up.
