shepp
Looks like a lot of fun! Good looking brown if for the rivers around here. Is that a decent size for the lakes? on the smaller side for the big lake they'll get 20-35# In the big lake go one pale back theres a YouTube video of a 30+ pound hog. Big ones aren't good eatters I'm gonna smoke this one
shepp
Late season/ late ice pan fishing is some of my favorite fishing. It's 35-55* out which feels awesome after a cold winter and the perch crappie and blue gills are getting ready to spawn in the next month or two. Two weeks ago I met some of my Chicago friends and we caught some huge Lake Michigan perch right by the skyway bridge (if you know chicago it's not really the best part for my Cracker ass to be in) but we had fun. Found out on my way home I wasn't far from Rene next time we'll grab a beer or six!!!! The handle on that ice scoop is about 18-20" With a week of 50-60 approaching I went out a week ago tue after work and caught a few but it was kinda slow 11" crappie 10" perch and a few 7.5-8" gills With our normal spot kinda dead we used the Norwegian fish finder and found a large group of guys in another spot and caught some real nice blue gills last sat and Sunday Temps dropped into the 40's again so I may still have a weekend or two before ice gets unsafe Edited March 18, 2015 by shepp
Malig8r
I can't wait until this summer to go home and visit the family. Already told them I want to do some walleye fishing, kayaking, bon fires, and there's a freezer full of venison ready for the grill!
