shepp Posted January 4, 2015 Report Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Finally was able to get our permanent ice shack out on the lake and had one of the best nights fishing ever. 6 adults and two kids we had over 30 flags (fish tripped the tip up) caught 5 nice keeps and a ton of shorties Our home made wood stove Biggest fish of the night 23" 19" And my 18 1/2 Edited January 4, 2015 by shepp

The DNR instituted an emergency one fish limit on Lake Trout on Superior because of overharvesting by the gill netters the last ten years. The Lake Trout fishery has pretty much been destroyed. Heres hoping the Brown Trout fishing is good.
