blue109
I scored some old school colt 20rdrs recently.some are obviously ancient. they have aluminum followers and are marked .223. a few I was thinking of selling/trading off but I'm not sure if they are the coveted "preban" status. they are standard colt 5.56 floor plates. they have black plastic followers. there are no markings on the outside of the mag bodies and they are stamped OKAY inside near the top. no dates or anything else. anyone able to drop some knowledge? planeflyer21
Can you "tilt" the followers? Chances are if they have the original followers or the 1st Gen Colt "anti-tilt followers" that would still tilt, they are pre-'94 AWB and good to go in certain commie states. blue109
yea, they tilt. def. original colt followers in there. I ran them all at the range and they.work fine. 2 of them even had these goofy 5rd limiters in them. just u shaped metal pieces. crazy how these things still work like new after all this time. Robocop1051
I have about 15-20 of those old Colt 20rd mags. They were huge with LE agencies here about 20 years ago. When I'm lucky, I find an agency with an old stash of mags in storage, who are more than happy to just toss them out. I'm not above trading the large agency guys, using old surplus gear, a fancy new PMAG for their old yucky Colt mag.
