AngelDeVille Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Pick a brand and gauge of strings and stick with it, saves headaches in the long run.

Stick with one brand per guitar , Erine Ball on Ibanez's Guitars and D'Addario on Gibson Les Paul Guitars
Cali_Ed Posted March 26, 2015 Author Report Posted March 26, 2015 I have some ernie ball and black beauties. Honestly with just one of the black beauties on there ( high e) I think a full on pack of them will sound better the the ernie ball
Dane Armory Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 When you start saying "Black Beauties" ,I think of capacitors which are Ledgedary. The strings lose tone quality over time... just sitting in package ! Ernie Ball strings have been around since the 1950's , now that means a lot!
shibiwan Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) I have been using these for years on my electrics (9-42) .....and D'Addario XL sets for my 7-string. Edited March 26, 2015 by shibiwan
Matt.Cross Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I flatly refuse to restring with anything other than Elixirs, that goes for my 5 string bass, two acoustics, and the strat too.
