planeflyer21 Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 Anyone here ride a tandem bike? Picked up a used Raleigh off Craigslist awhile back. Finally ready to get it cleaned up and ready to roll. MTB gearing and setup for "comfort" riding, i.e., people wanting to ride around the block. The steel frame is great and it has the telescoping adjustments for the stoker position.The seats and grips need to go. The components are pretty much garbage, low-end...a couple of steps above Huffy.My sinister plan is to use this for school bus duty, picking the girl up from school.Years ago at work, when I found out the owner rode a tandem with his wife, mentioned I was thinking about getting a tandem. He quit smiling, turned towards me and while slightly nodding his head up and down said "It will test your relationship."
