edgecrusher Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 i picked up my new mk 214 today. nice tight build with no play between receivers. hell, i had a hard time getting the pins out. its a nice compact rig, way lighter than my larue. i threw on my troy sights and other accessories and it feels nice.pics and range reports to follow.
edgecrusher Posted March 20, 2011 Author Report Posted March 20, 2011 <thumbsup>, okay, went to range today to do break in and a full four hours of shooting and here is what i have. target was at 50 yards, 20 rd mag. i like it, and i'm not sure whether it'll get any optics. recoil was well managed, especially for a 14 inch barrel. i haven't put in the geiselle trigger yet, i was a little intimidated last night when i was cleaning and prepping. i might look for a video instruction, :o, to make sure i don't blow it. very happy today to say the least.
Jgun Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 How do you like their rail? I understand that its not a free float, but by the way the gun feels, would you say it's relletively light, or do you think it's heavier than a LaRue or DD?
edgecrusher Posted May 8, 2011 Author Report Posted May 8, 2011 much lighter than my larue, much. i do like the rail, with the covers i still find it slim. as far as the fact it isn't free float hasn't effected my accuracy, or caused concerns for me, i'm running troy tritiums and i'm getting 1 1/2 - 2 inch groups at 100yds, fine by me. it weighs 9 lbs empty with the covers, sling, and angled foregrip but feels lighter.
edgecrusher Posted September 21, 2011 Author Report Posted September 21, 2011 updated pics, only waiting on bad-ass levers (2), on christmas list for both my 308 rifles, otherwise complete <thumbsup>( relative term, maybe 3x manifier in distant future). love the larue index clips for holding the pressure switch wire in place away from hot parts.
Robocop1051 Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I love how sleek and sexy PWS makes their rifles. Beautiful stick edge!
