rcnut
I see Remington is coming out with a R25 gen II , YES I know that Remington owns DPMS, but it looks like they are using the same bolt group , can one assume that the barrel quality is the same for both? can we also assume that the accuracy should be the same? it looks like the only difference is the stock and fore grip. the reason for this post is that I am looking to purchase my Gen II the first of the year and just want to make sure of the quality and accuracy of both so I can put Remington on heads , and DPMS on tails when I flip my coin. shepp
Any links? My buddy has an r25 they're more geared towards hunting his doesn't have a muzzle device and nor do I think it has forward assist. It's a nice shooting gun, but my biggest gripe about it is the camo pattern on the plastic foregrip and pistol grip is wearing off and it's white underneath that so it sticks out like a sore dick
survivalshop
The Remington R 25 GII I would assume is just a GII with Camo . We will be waiting for a review . The GII seem to be working out , so far , the only complaints have been Cratered primers. http://www.remington.com/product-families/firearms/centerfire-families/autoloading-model-r-25.aspx
beachmaster
If I had to guess I would say that it's just a rebadged dpms gii
Robocop1051
I agree here. The R25 has historically been a camo DPMS without a muzzle device. The barrels usually have a more stereotypical tapered contour. They were usually lighter weight.
