Yoshi Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 Howdy folks! New member here from Maryland. Was doing some research on building me a .308 and ran across 308ar.com. This'll be my first attempt at building anything rifle related and I am very excited about it and this site. Basically, I want to build a hybrid AR that can be used as an all around rifle: CQB, decent reach, good accuracy, reliable and eat almost everything. Hopefully that's possible? :)Anyway, glad to be here.

I think you should have no problem accompllishing all your goals (as long as you don't mind building 3 rifles to do it!) You know how it is, you can build a gun that does one thing extremely well or you can build a gun that does many things well enough. Your 15 lb bench rest rifle is not going to be much fun to take hunting.
