Because they do make a Foldable adaptor for the AR's , but the Rifle can't be fired with it folded . If you are going Collapsible ( Carbine ) stock , you will need a Carbine 308 Buffer , 308 Carbine Buffer Spring & for DPMS type Buffer system , any AR 15 Carbine Receiver Extension ( Buffer tube ) Same components for the Foldable Adaptor .
