bubbas4570 Posted December 4, 2018 Report Posted December 4, 2018 All that I can say is that the two compact 1911's i owned from RIA were very reliable, they digested everything I asked them to, and I trusted my families lives with them.
392heminut Posted December 5, 2018 Report Posted December 5, 2018 I've handled several Rock Island Armory/ARMSCOR pistols and been pretty impressed with the fit and finish of them. Damn nice pistols for the money!
Sisco Posted December 5, 2018 Report Posted December 5, 2018 I have two Phillipine made 1911’s by Iver Johnson. Both are well made and reliable. If Armscor is as good, which I assume they would be, makes sense.
JF89 Posted December 5, 2018 Author Report Posted December 5, 2018 I had good luck with both RIA 1911s I had. I just found the article neat and its cool to see RIA get selected by a military/LEA. I was never the biggest 1911 guy though. I like the platform ,I just never invested the time to really learn it the way I should have. Ive owned: A few Colt 1911s A Les Baer monolithic heavyweight (forget the exact name) A couple RIA A SA RO (or Operator, I forget the name lol) The RIAs were just as functional, just not as purty (which is what is most important)
