rnewman_11 Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 Can someone tell me which Magpul MIAD grip fits the DPMS 308 gen 2?
98Z5V Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 (edited) Quote * NOTE: This TYPE 1 Kit fits all AR15/M4's as well as many 7.62x51 variants such as the Aero Precision M5 308, CMMG MK3, CORE Rifle Systems CORE30, HK 417/MR762A1, LWRCI REPR, Mega Arms MATEN, POF P-308, Ruger SR-762, and SIG716. The TYPE 2 Kit uses taller backstraps for optimized fit with certain 7.62x51 receivers such as the Armalite AR-10A/B/T, DPMS LR308, KAC SR25, LaRue OBR, LMT .308 MWS, Palmetto PA10, and S&W M&P10. In general, the TYPE 1 Kit will fit most all 7.62x51 AR lower receivers but there may or may not be a gap between the backstrap's 'beavertail' and the receiver. This gap is purely aesthetic and will not affect function. I got that info from here, about a third of the way down the page: https://www.magpul.com/products/miad-gen-1-1-grip-kit-type-1 Edited January 2, 2019 by 98Z5V
98Z5V Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 You might have to call one of two places, to find out your information - either DPMS, or MagPul.
Robocop1051 Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 Everything on the Gen2, behind the magwell, is identical to the AR-15.
rnewman_11 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Report Posted January 3, 2019 I'm learning as I go here. Thanks for the inputs everyone. The Magpul page is not real clear unless the gen1 and gen2 lowers are the same. I love my gen2 hunter ,but some of the oddities are not real clear to figure if your AR background is not very strong.

PaddyMac Posted April 15, 2020 Report Posted April 15, 2020 Maybe here but it's gonna cost you... store.gravelagency.com I have no idea who they are or if they are real but they are listing one for $565.72
Sharpshooter Posted April 17, 2020 Report Posted April 17, 2020 I've been trying to research this because I have a DPMS G2 also. Parts are going to wear out/break, so I've been looking for a way to get replacements. I haven't bought anything (I have fewer than 1,000 rounds through mine) but this seems to indicate that the Remington R-25 is running the same bolt as the DPMS G2. I have no idea what one of their bolts cost, but at least it's an alternative.
