Neck down some 30-cal cartridge to 6.5mm projectiles, and you'll always see a speed gain, distance gain, etc. That comes from the efficiency of the 6.5mm projectiles. I've already been deep into necking down my .308 Win brass to 6.5mm - that's the .260 Remington. One of these days, I'll neck down a 30-06 to 6.5mm in a bolt gun, and run the thing (that's the 6.5-06 A Square wildcat cartridge) . It would be fun doing that to a 300 Win Mag, too... RedRiverII Posted June 28, 2019 Author Report Share Posted June 28, 2019 Actually I ordered 6.5 Creedmoor ammo and didn't. I selected 6.5 SAUM and cannot return it. I was looking to give a box to one of our members who uses it. You know our minds. My is saying we need to build a rifle for this round.
