Radioactive
Which do you prefer and why i have both but think I prefer bags - I feel I get to much bounce when using a bipod maybe I don’t do it right
jtallen83
Bags on the bench and bipod for the field. I am not going to carry bags in the field. Maybe you are not loading the bipod with enough force?
98Z5V
Bipod for me, always. Load the bipod, and it works great. It's harder to get good at until you figure that out, but that's why I like it more. If you can shoot well with the bipod, you can shoot well off bags. Not necessarily so, the other way around. Matt.Cross
I like a small rear bag and a bipod in conjunction, but if I had to choose only one, I'd choose the bipod.
Radioactive
I do all right shooting from a bipod it just feels like I get some bounce and takes more adjustment to get back on target than I have to do when using a bag my bag is usually a back pack contents adjusted for range or hunting. Range has more clothing, coat, blanket etc while hunting has my hunting stuff and a few small clothing items not as soft and squishy
Radioactive
Maybe I’m off base with the comparison since I don’t own any “real” shooting bags I am thinking of purchasing some and a real shooting mat too - not just a piece of carpet I throw down to delay the ants
2ndequalsfreedom
Bags for trying to get the tightest group which I don’t do very often, bipod for hitting steel which is what I usually do. Besides if a real situation every happens I will have the bipod not the bags.
