I would like to buy a 60 round stick magazine for my 300 blackout ar.  some manufacturers have said they arent reliable for this round, has anyone ever tried.  The casing for 300 blackout is the same as 556 so I dont know why it wouldn't work.  I watched a video of Hickok 45 shooting a 300 blackout ar and he was using a 60 round stick magazine from surefire

Depends on the load/projectile, more than anything else, for 300BLK. You can run anything from 110gr to 220gr subs for BLK.  The heavier you go, the more ogive you have, and that gets into the guide ribs on AR15 mags.  220 Subs?  Probably not gonna work on a Surefire 60.  125 Supers?  Wouldn't have a hiccup.

So, what ammo are you shooting?

147 gr or smaller

I load Hornady 150gr FMJ-BTs for my 300BLK range ammo. I have a Surefire 60.  I'll try the two out for you and report back on how it works.

100-200 yards is more within reason.

This statement here. I'm sure it's possible to take game 400 yards or better. would need practice to accomplish it on a steady basis. but for that range I would invest in a different caliber upper.
