Boot_Scraper Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) The Ruger American Hunter has recently caught my eye, 308 a'course. Magpul stock, 20" heavy barrel. Anybody handle one before? Thoughts? Edited February 22, 2020 by Boot_Scraper
DNP Posted February 25, 2020 Report Posted February 25, 2020 Looks like a winner. The rule says you get to pick one up and tell us all about it. I’m sure that breaks your heart, but rules are rules....if you have to explain it to anyone else.

To be honest, I'm really not impressed with any of the heavy chassis rifles, my idea of a rifle is my little Husky 4100, beautiful, comes to the shoulder like a quail gun, accurate as hell, and gives you a good azz kicking in the process. It's damnably handy, and I like to carry it, Miss Wilson the same way, 308 of course. I'm in love the Tikka Lite Veil in 308 of course, LOL! Boot_Scraper Posted November 5, 2020 Author Report Posted November 5, 2020 Yeah, it's a heavy piece of iron. I have since picked up a Savage PT10-SR and I'm waiting on Magpul to release the hunter stock for the Savage. This gun is a shooter with an amazing trigger. Just needs a little character.
