RyanUSMC13 Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Hello, I am new to the community and I am in the middle of doing my first AR10 build. I am looking for a DD 7.62 Lite rail 12.0”. I know it’s probably close to impossible because of the rarity of this rail, but it’s worth a shot to ask! Why DD would stop making this rail is beyond me, lol. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Armed Eye Doc Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Welcome to the forum. Those rails are virtually impossible to come across. They come up for sale every one to two years. I'm sure you have looked at gunbroker, but it's a good idea to watch that as well. I read somewhere that they DCd them because they came out with their own rifle and wanted to sell those instead. 🤷♂️
RyanUSMC13 Posted June 8, 2020 Author Report Posted June 8, 2020 Hey thank you very much for the response! Yea that’s what I figured, I have not checked GunBroker yet, but I will. Thanks again!

Thanks again! Beware of the cheap airsoft fakes that are out there. Make sure that if you find one, you verify that it's legit. Check it out close, look at every pic posted in the sale listing. Bottom line - if the price looks WAY too good to be true, then it's probably airsoft parts.
RyanUSMC13 Posted June 9, 2020 Author Report Posted June 9, 2020 Roger that, I’ve already seen them online. Staying AWAY from those. Lol
josiahg52 Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 Yeah, I'll admit I was tempted by those Madbull licensed copies. DD told me themselves that they have no plans to release this rail or any other 308AR parts that aren't compatible with the DD5 when I first asked them about this rail and later when I wanted an M-LOK rail. Since then, I've been pestering Geissele for one of their SMR M-LOK rails every few months in hopes they see a market for them. My advice besides keeping the faith is to buy the compatible barrel nut now if you can find it. You never know if that one that finally shows up will have a barrel nut at all or if it will be the one you need.
