Compliant AR 10 options for California

Hello all,

I live in commiefornia and I’m going featureless on my new AR 10 build. I am using an arrow upper and lower and will need to have some type of mag lock system installed. What is my best option on an AR 10 Aero lower.  I think I’m correct in saying that The lower on the arrow is very slightly wider than other DPMS lowers. Therefore, not all systems will fit. What mag lock systems have worked for you?  Mag lock with king pin, Juggernaut or others?

I am building an AR 10 using an Aero upper and lower. Since I live in Commiefornia, I will need a mag lock system as I am going featureless. It is my understanding that the Aero lower is slightly wider than other DPMS lowers.  For those of you who have assembled an A.R. 10 using and an Aero lower, what mag lock systems have work for you?

If you go featureless, you do not need the lock. I recently installed a Hellfighter kit on an AR15. I initially liked the concept of the receiver being limited as it opened, but in practice, that part made it a real pain to split the halves and get at the bolt and buffer. Not impossible, just a pain. With the Hellfighter, you lose the bolt stop and cannot lock the bolt back. Now that can be a plus, because it won’t lock back on empty. At which point you would release the bolt, split halves and then swap mags. The AR mag lock keeps the bolt stop if you want to have one. MEAN arms makes a loader you can drive rounds into the mag through the ejection port. Lots of options. Each is going to be user specific.

I posted in the other one you have going. Featureless = grip fin or similar, no collapsible stock, no flash hider (use a comp instead) no forward grip and no grenade launcher (cuz yeah, we all run those). 
 

featureless = no need for mag lock. Any of the evil features, needs mag lock of some sort.

Then, you're NOT building an AR-10. You're building a DPMS LR-308-based platform.  The "AR-10" is the Armalite platform.  Some parts interchange between the two platforms, but not all.

Terminology matters.
