jtallen83 Posted April 30, 2021 Report Share Posted April 30, 2021 I have put together a bunch of little fire kits, bought a bulk lot of chinese ferrocerium rods for them. Never thought there could be much difference, if it throws sparks then good to go right? After trying out a couple more expensive rods I think it's worth spending more on quality. The difference is obvious, the chinese rods throw sparks, the RAT and Exotac rods drip lava. For practice use the cheap stuff but for when you have to have a fire right now have a quality rod at hand. I know these two are good to go, anyone else have a go to brand?
