Firesteels Ferrocerium Rods

I have put together a bunch of little fire kits, bought a bulk lot of chinese ferrocerium rods for them. Never thought there could be much difference, if it throws sparks then good to go right? After trying out a couple more expensive rods I think it's worth spending more on quality. The difference is obvious, the chinese rods throw sparks, the RAT and Exotac rods drip lava. For practice use the cheap stuff but for when you have to have a fire right now have a quality rod at hand.

I know these two are good to go, anyone else have a go to brand?

No preference here,  just the larger size rods and even carry magnesium for wet spots. I keep seeing Blackbeard tinder or something like that.. pretty crazy stuff.

Been having these two for a while tht are part of my Junglas kit. I have a second one of the ferro rods on my Esee 5’s sheath that stays in my truck.
