mswartz27 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Pic 1- A couple weeks after I got her. -Nightforce 5.5-22x56 Scope -Max-Tac Rings (or something like that...can't really remember the name)Pic 2- About 8 months later. Decided I didn't "need" the Nightforce Scope (after all, a college kid can find other things to spend that kind of cash on haha). So I sold the Nightforce and I installed a Millett TRS-1 4-16x50, used Burris Xtreme Tactical Rings. I switched out the Voltor Stock for a standard A2 stock from DPMS. Also added the Harris locking latch to my bipod.Pic 3- The setup I have now. Didn't like the standard grip (I have small hands haha) so I switched to the Magpul MOE grip. Also changed to a standard Harris short bipod, the bipod that came standard with the SASS would tilt some after each shot; even with the locking latch locked tight. So here is the current rundown: -Millett TRS-1 4-16x50 -Burris Xtreme Tactical high rings -Magpul MOE grip -A2 Stock -Short Harris bipod -Foregrip (that I put on from time to time)
imschur Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 small hands ehh...hmmm ;D Nice weapon. I would have bought one of those if my state allowed it.
mswartz27 Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 New paint job for the rifle inspired by the M-110 and the DPMS REPR. Used Duracoat Flat Dark Earth coating, had a couple small places that the epoxy didn't set quite as well (prolly bad prep sanding on my part), but i'm quite happy with the final product.
survivalshop Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Nice job . I just ordered a Millett TRS 1.
OE139 Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Like the Paint job!! Thought about doing the same on my current build, too many black rifles out there now. Duracoat makes good stuff, thinking about one of their camopaks.
