What's the value of this gun?

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted here. I'm considering letting go of my aero M5 in .308, I just don't shoot it much and the ammo situation has me focusing on other firearms. The gun shoots great, .6-.8 moa with 168grn federal/berger. It took some work to get it running right, including opening up the gas port, but man it's a shooter now. It's in amazing shape and looks barely used.

The purpose of my post is to try and see what this group thinks it's value is? If this is the wrong area for a post like this please delete and I'll repost in the right spot. 

 If you add up the cost of the parts, without tax or shipping, it's around $1,800. A lot of the parts are out of stock and have been for awhile. Muzzle brake not included and optic I can price separately.

If this were a factory built gun it might be a bit easier to give you a specific comp value.  For example - I could probably PM you what I paid for my Armalite AR-10(T) if that is what you had and were selling...   For custom built guns it is a whole lot different in that there really is no 1:1 comparison.   If it were me, I'd look for similar builds for sale in the various forums and price accordingly if you choose to sell.  I'd start a bit above what you want to get - and drop the price if you don't get interest - or if you decide that you "NEED" to sell sooner.  Sorry - it is not an answer to the "what is it worth" question - but anything I'd give you would be a guess that is probably not as good as your guess.

 

I can tell you that when I'm buying a used gun - I'm not going to buy one for the price of the new parts, I'm only a buyer at a pretty good discount from retail prices - or at least that used to be my rule.  How much less would depend on inspection and how well I know / trust the seller.  That said - the market today is screwy - supply is very constrained for some things - and demand is up.  so...

Get it stripped down to the way you are going to sell it, then go fishing put 1450.00 on it advertise it in this day and age with so much hard to find you will probably get a bite or two.... nice gun..
