NightStalker Posted November 25, 2024 Report Posted November 25, 2024 I’m still looking for decent digital calipers, what brands should I be looking at so I get better than harbor freight this time. Used HF for years till they gave out
sagebrush Posted November 25, 2024 Report Posted November 25, 2024 blue point has worked well for me, got them at a hawk shop
MtnMike Posted November 25, 2024 Report Posted November 25, 2024 (edited) Clockwise and Vinca have good reviews at about the same price as HF. As an aside, if you use Firefox, you can add FF Review Checker extension to the the browser to review the reviews on Amazon, Walmart and BestBuy for reliability. I also confess I'm using the same HF calipers I've had for 5+ years. Good enough for my rare use. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018D9JPPA/?tag=bovi01-20&asc_source=browser&asc_refurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bobvila.com%2Farticles%2Fbest-digital-caliper%2F&ascsubtag=0000BV0000130907O1280058720241125022508&th=1 Edited November 25, 2024 by MtnMike add link
NightStalker Posted May 17, 2025 Author Report Posted May 17, 2025 I wanted to update this thread. I spent quite awhile looking for about my price range and what I was looking for and settled on this one below. I bought the stainless version and really like it so far. I just got it and have only measured loaded rounds so far but it feels stout and unlike the others I had that were pretty flimsy and I worried about accuracy with them. I didn’t look for or see where it was made if that’s important to you. I’m sure it’s in the description. Definitely worth check this caliper out.
