Solar charging kit

Recommended Posts

As many of you know I try to do a solo off grid ish trip every year. After seeing @98Z5V solar kit a few years back I thought man that’s such a great idea. I got reading about a few companies and found this one. It’s one of those things that was more of a want than a need and I’ve had it in my cart for a few years on Amazon. Tonight I noticed it’s 40% off and finally said fuck it and ordered one

I just sent that link to one of my coworkers who was planning a camping trip. smokin deal on that. the 300w generator isn't quite enough to run appliances, but it can damn sure run light kits and keep most small things charged for the whole week.

There’s some bigger ones marked down too, but like you said I’d more need devices, power tools and a few other odd and ends charged.

mine is a 300 mainly because the bigger ones were exponentially more expensive. I'd probably go with a 1000 if I found a deal on one. could probably run a little fridge off that for a while.

Came today, panel is alittle bigger than I thought, but it’s light weight, and comes with fold out stands. Also has a wall charger and car adaptor, looking at the amount of charges it’ll do in the devices I have charging it shouldn’t be a huge deal, But more is better right?! And options are always good, it came right from jackery, communication and shipping was great, I can’t wait to use it!!

I have plugged a battery charger into my power station and charged a car battery for an hour until it would start.  I still had plenty of power remaining.  The biggest power draw I I ever plugged in was a dual halogen work light I plugged in to it.  It would not run both lights at once.  The circuit tripped every time I tried.  It would run one at a time, but it sucked about 1% of battery power per minute.
