Economical but light

Is it possible to get an economical but light scope for my AR308?

I have this on a 5.56. Stays zeroed. Lifetime warranty. Not the greatest glass but not bad for the price.

So low, medium, or high power variable and what are we talking price wise?

I push most towards Primary Arms optics and the Vortex Strike Eagle line when keeping it under $1000.00.

I’ve beat the tar out of both and tested the optics being driven around in a patrol rack for days on end. Zero issues.

Medium power is probably good and I’d like to stay between 3-500. I had a 1-6 Burris on it and think a little more power would work nicely.

Weight kinda goes out the window when looking for scopes.  In reality, it doesn't matter much, besides humping the weight - it's centered over the middle of the gun, so it doesn't affect too much in gun-handling - unless it's an absolute brick.  They're all gonna be a pound or two.

If you want something that will do everything that the gun is capable of, look at the Primary Arms 3~18 SLX line.  THey'll have a reticle that will work for you, no matter what, and it'll run you about $500.

I know there’s really no such thing as a light scope, hoping someone knew some new technology that I didn’t know about. 
ya a dream at that price lol
