Took a 308 and 6.8SPC build i done to see if they will work.

First was the AR10 it worked fine and finally got it hitting center. was at about 70 yards. I'd move it too much and then have to move it back.lol finally got it. circles are 4 inches

This Spikes lower and upper 6.8 gave me some trouble til i fixed it. it was not blowing the bolt back far enough to chamber another round. I also put an atrius FRT in it. well i didn't even try it cause it wouldn't work on semi. so i did get it sighted in just loading one round at a time. barrel is pretty accurate. then took it back home and took the hangurd off, which is a pain in the ass and drilled out the gas hole on the barrel just a tiny bit.

Took it back and tried it, didn't need to sight it in so just shot it in semi mode and it worked fine. so then i put about 15 rounds and put it on FRT and away it went. ran all of them and quickly too.

Kinda weird it wouldn''t function with the factory hole in barrel. I usually drill them out a tiny bit anyway. i didn't this one i figured it would run. i drill em out mainly so the FRT will function. i don't do it on factory guns though.

That's not weird at all. If it's not 5.56 or .308, most manufacturers don't know WTF they're doing.  They have no idea bow to balance a gas system to a recoil system, in the first place.  5.56 and .308 Win aside - those blueprinted patterns are already out there for them to just simply follow.
