I recently received my order from Clint at Heavy Buffers, and I am impressed. Drew and I have spoken about doing some buffer and spring comparison's before , so I figured I'd share what I have for info……. Clint, well done, I can't wait to shoot both my existing rifles reconfigured and my new build, thank you!

PWS Factory buffer            Heavy Buffer Slash's xhcarbine

weight    106.1g                            239.5g

spring data

length    11.25 "                            13.5625"

coil width    .078125 (5/64)            .078125

number of coils  29                          33

Larue OBR                      Slash .308 rifle buffer

124.7                                      285.8

The spring in the Larue must be an Armalite, it was exactly the same as the one sent from Clint. I have no way to test spring tension, the only measurable missing in this comparison.

ok, another update on Clint's fine work…. the carbine buffer for the PWS was too long, fixed with a replacement CAR-10 XH…. 186.8 grams…. fixed my issue and let me tell you guys, there is really no comparison between the machining quality of Clints products and your factory piece…. GUARANTEED
