lar 8 magazines

ordered 3 mags from thermold magazines on 01/30/2013 and received them today, which was great but do not know how to modifiy them to make them work in my lar8. they go in the rifle without any problems but will not lock in place. any help would be appreciated.

Two places to file if you have fitment issues with the Thermolds...the front guide tab (if the mag doesn't fit) and the locking tab on the right-rear of the magazine.

Filing the bottom of the locking tab, besure to keep your file square to the magazine body!!!  Your objective is to raise the bottom of the tab, allowing it to engage the magazine release.  When you get to the point where your magazines will CLICK in place, stop filing.

Plastic files VERY VERY easily!!  I fit 15 of these magazines (from RRA) and they averaged 4 strokes with the file but took as many as 7 or 8.

RRA uses FAL mags. They won't fit in a AR-10.

I have been trying to get those 5 and 10-rd poly mags from RRA, but they keep on giving me the runaround and claim they are always out of stock. I think they are keeping them for sale with the new rifles and are not selling them OTC.

I put in a order for a 5 rd. months ago and still haven't recieved it.Was in a catalog sent to the house.

RRA has gone totally dark on this issue. They have been advertising those 3-5-10 rd LAR-8 poly mags in their catalog for over a year and has not delivered...and they won't say why or when they will deliver.
