EasyEJL
Has anyone used one successfully on a LR 308?http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG419/184I can't even tell exactly how it mounts to be sure. And its not just the price that is attractive (although that surely is) but the configurable 2, 6 and 10 o clock rails, plus the colors. I'm doing the 308 in either foliage or olive drab for hunting, and those are available in either.
98Z5V
I'm running one on the AR45, but not on a .308 AR. You need to "modify" the internal heatshield to clear the 308s. Tin snips do the trick. They attach/mount via the standard AR handguard way - Delta ring setup at the receiver end, and handguard endcap at the muzzle end. It's made for the round handguard cap, and the triangle cap (both), so it doesn't matter which handguard cap you get.
EasyEJL
easy enough to do that. Is it a decent feeling forearm on the AR15? Just seems a little shocking that its around 1/4 the price of the next cheapest one with rails
Robocop1051
They are great handguards! <thumbsup>If you don't need to mount anything on a top rail, the MOE is perfect. It can still be fit with rail segments on the sides and bottom. I use a rifle length MOE on my 300blk and a mid length MOE on my Colt. edgecrusher
I have a dissipator build in mind using one, I like the way they look and feel, and might be the only rail-less forearm I'd buy.
