I added this piece yesterday. 

My thoughts:

The edges are kind of sharp and it needs de-horning.

It interferes with disassembly. You must flip disassembly lever down at a specific point to disassemble pistol now. Not a big deal once you figure it out.

Makes emergency slide racking on the belt, holster or a hard edge very easy.

I actually prefer the rubber slide serration decals I had on the pistol before though.

Not yet. The damned thing is pretty tough (practiced a few times). I just ordered the Slide Racker because I was bored. I wouldn't buy another and might remove this one.

Heine doesn't (last I checked) make the Ledge model for the XD's.  You can rack it easy enough on your shoe or holster.

Meprolight does a nice set for the XD pistols - would work like the Ledge setups.

The XD pistols use SIG sights. Whatever fits the P226 fits the XD pistols.
