This is interesting.  One of two things are happening here - this is old news, and discovered again, OR Barnes filed their exemption request through BATFE for the .224" diameter TSX round.

 

Early in 2012, BATFE declared the solid-copper Barnes TSX projectile as an "armor piercing" projectile, based on it's solid construction.  Barnes filed an exemption request for several of the calibers for the projectile, but they didn't file the request for the .224" projo.
