Quite often I run into nasty, old, corroded boxes of Vietnam era .30 carbine. I'm just wondering if it's worth pulling the lead for reloading. Would that round nosed stuff even work in a AR? survivalshop Posted June 2, 2013 Report Share Posted June 2, 2013 Most , if not all ,30 M1 carbine ammo has been loaded with a copper jacketed bullet. Lead , might be commercial ammo . EasyEJL Posted June 2, 2013 Report Share Posted June 2, 2013 the only issue i'd see is that you'll have to play around a bit more on finding the sweet spot for them powder + potentially bullet depth wise.
