FNG building a DPMS style 308

Hello,

FNG here. I've read a bit and wanted to get an opinion or two on what I want to build parts wise. I have a background as a machinist as well. I've shot for many years and have a decent handle on what MOA is, shooting MOA at distance and what that entails on my part. ::)

I'm starting with an 80% Tactical Machining lower, no problems there.

Leaning towards a complete side cocking upper from Fulton Armory with an 18.5" barrel with1:10 twist. Seems like a no brainer as it's complete and headspaced and looks to be in stock on their website. It would seem as though I'd have close to that price ($1135.00)or more invested in cobbling something similiar together myself ( I do know how to headspace weapons, but would need to rent the gauges as well).

Precision Armament Brake

Magpul PRS stock

Slash/ heavy buffer

DPMS LPK

FCG?

DPMS or Magpul mags ( any thoughts?)

Leatherwood ART scope ( I have one and like it )

Bipod (undecided, never liked Harris though)

Anything else I'm missing?

Thank you both for the welcome. I decided on doing this a couple of days ago and started gleening knowledge about parts compatability issues and quality as I would rather buy once and be happy.

I saw Brownells is out of 308 pmags, is there another source, go direct to Magpul?

Thanks again,
