blue109
That is one crazy looking thing Not too crazy...;) they don't make a 308 version though. Some local guy slapped one on a oracle and it looked like poop. The top rail only made it half way down the rcvr. On a side note...I've never even seen the keymod CASV. Man it's ugly, but maybe a CASV-M will show up cheap somewhere now. I want one for my pistol build! 98Z5V
This from the lar8, these dont fit the dpms do they? Looking for something almost just like this. If this does fit the dpms then it ends here. Closest thing to that, that I can think of - Apex. http://www.apexhandguard.com/2360-ar10-308-dpms-15-0-ext-rifle-length-apex-gatorgrip-handguard/
Cali_Ed
I. See would using the dpms a3 low profile pretty much eliminate all of these?
blue109
The PRI is set up for the high profile, but if you want the SPR/modO setup, they make a connecting rail for the new/low height. It also looks pretty darn sweet, but costs a small fortune and adds a little extra weight. You don't like the APEX tom posted?seems like it would fit the bill for you. Cali_Ed
Its kinda fugly in my eyes haha i liked the pri one or this other one i was looking from centerion arms but not sure if its compatible...
blue109
Last I saw, the centurion is old style. I don't run irons so the pri rail mismatch isn't a big deal. Edited March 1, 2014 by blue109

blue109
I don't remember if you have a barrel....what gas system length are you using? Edited March 1, 2014 by blue109
Cali_Ed
Not that far into my build but going with rifle length
blue109
So the bonus of the new DPMS height is that any AR15 irons will work. The old height caused some confusion. If you use that 12" PRI tube with a rifle length gas system, you can use any standard front gas block sight/rear sight combo. The SPR sleeve doesn't go all the way to the charging handle, it leaves a gap so you can mount a flip up rear sight.
blue109
While I'm thinking about it...if you go rifle gas with a flip up gas block and the 12" tube, it doesn't really matter if the PRI rail is 1/16" too tall since the sight isn't mounted on it. You could still get the SPR sleeve for continuity, or even just buy the PRI tube that comes without the rail sections and save a few bucks. Just comes down to what you want the end result to look like. Damn, I sound like PRI is paying me for this sales pitch!
Cali_Ed
Yeah thanks for the great info , I'm lookin at possibly going with the 14/15" lingth one lol
blue109
Ah. In that case pri won't really work out if you want buis. Gonna have to be apex/Samson/Troy/MI.

blue109
http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=1209 Looks like they do both heights, and no shelving brackets lol

Cali_Ed
Hey blue excuse my ignorance but on the 15" mi rails it says something about tang, can you enlighten me plz? By tang is that the rail height? Which for the low pro Edited March 3, 2014 by Cali_Ed
blue109
I've never seen it written that way, but I'm assuming they are referring to the thickness of the upper above the charging handle slot. Measure yours to see if it matches up with one if those measurements.
Cali_Ed
Hey you know anything about the urx 3.1 for the 7.62 besides the extreme price point lol
txbdyguard
On the MI tang refers to the height of the top rail on the upper. And MI comes with 3 rails to start with and can add more later.
