This is the configuration so far. Unless I can get the shorter rail that I want, I may assemble it with the rifle length rail. I still need the BCG and trigger. I see that Rainier Arms has a new shorter rail made for them by Samson that is specifically designed to key to the front of the MA TEN upper. May try that.

That rifle-length FFT is mad sexy man, if you can fit a lo-pro gas block under there, you should keep it! Looks good bro!

No problem fitting the gas block, Just thought it might balance better with the shorter rail. I guess I'll see how it feels once I install the BCG and trigger. I plan to use this one to shoot the local tactical/3gun matches. I would appreciate any suggestions for a suitable optic. So far I've been advised to look at the Trijicon TR-24. Anyone use one?

It's from Ace, I think it's called the hammer. Kind of like a CTR made of aluminum. Very well made but weighs more like a UBR than  a CTR.

Got my scope and mount in the mail, so now all I need is the trigger from Brownells and I'll be able to test it out at the range.

What trigger you running with?

I really like the one I put in my AR-15, so I plan to use the ATC SR Gold trigger. Last update I got from Brownells was that they should be available by mid Feb.

Looks like you have a Magpul BAD Lever on your build, there's lots of talk on other forums that it doesn't fit the MA-TEN.  Did you have to modify the lever?
