I was looking at quick release mounts for my build and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. I've only ever used the more traditional mounts before and was curious to the pros and cons of the quick release style.

I just ordered the American Defense Recon-X quick release mount for the TR-24 scope. Has anyone tried it or had any experience with the American defense mounts?

My concern was returning to zero after taking the scope on a off a couple times. It would be a great concept for cleaning, ect. if the scope returns to zero when you put it back on.

Looks like there is a local tactical store that handles American Defense QD. Im going to take my upper in sometime next week and try a few out to make sure my glass will clear the BUIS I have. Ill let ya know how that turns out.

There's a certain admin who needs a mount like this  (Not Madhouse).  <munch>

Oh, you are a bad, bad man.  Complete Evil-Doer.  <laughs>

That Noveske mount is sweet - and it looks identical to the ADM Recon mount, if the Recon didn't have cut-outs on the mounting rings.  I'm bettin' that's who is making it for Noveske.  <thumbsup>

I've handled quite a few of the ADM mounts on other rifles, and they are pure quality.  Buy with confidence if they're on your watch list.  I'm just sayin'...  ;D

They list the manufacturer as ADRECON  <thumbsup>

D'oh!!!  :o  I missed that!  My powers of comprehensive reading are slipping...

Sure looks the same to me. I'd bet that if it's not made by American Defense, whoever did make it took the measurments directly from an American Defense Recon mount. The specs even match the AD mount.
