bahamacop
I have the SASS 18" with the 1 in 10 twist barrel. The 168gr ammo I am using works ok, my thought are that the 175gr would be better suited for this gun and might be a little more accurate. Any thought or experiences on this? 98Z5V
From what I've seen so far, I'm getting almost identical groups from both bullet weights out of my 1:10 Fulton Kreiger barrel. It's very, very close.
survivalshop
I think most are using the 175's for really long range work .
Madhouse
Isn't the heavier bullet recommended for high twist rate, carbine-length barrels?
bahamacop
Isn't the heavier bullet recommended for high twist rate, carbine-length barrels? That was the belief I was under, but I've heard most say it doesn't make a difference, thus the question. Matt.Cross
I think the difference is going to be more notable at extended ranges, if you can believe what you read on the internet... Apparently heavier is a little more stable as you start approaching the 1,000 yard mark.
