planeflyer21
Checking out this video on the last scissor makers in England. Truly an artform that is easily lost with mass-production techniques, like so many other lost (or dwindling) crafts. Post up some videos of people working their crafts! This stuff is fascinating! Toolndie7
no video. before the days of multi axis cnc. Some old shipbuilding pictures even though this is fairly common today its a dying trade overall
planeflyer21
Love the CNC! Used to do that for 10-hour days, after getting certified by the local CC for manual machining (nobody wants that anymore...just button pushers). I work with scissors allot and am a hand craftsman just like them, which means I understand the value and importance of such products. Or to put in simple terms, I'm going to have to get me a set. planeflyer21
Very cool Magwa! I remember using the bow method in summer camp and the Boy Scouts...but we were never given the "why", just the "do it like this".
