Eastcoastlaxin Posted October 30, 2014 Report Posted October 30, 2014 I noticed that the BCGs were back in stock so I emailed SOW last night to confirm they actually had some. Got a reply this AM stating that the website was correct. I immediately placed an order and received shipping confirmation with in an hour...BCG on its way....had several email conversations with Paul Rust... He was extremely helpful.....Just wanted to share the news
EasyEJL Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 yeah, we're finally getting back on track
Cali_Ed Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 Great bcg brother plus you get your 2 dollar bill :)
Eastcoastlaxin Posted November 1, 2014 Author Report Posted November 1, 2014 Just got the bcg in the mail... No $2 bill but I did receive it 2 days after I ordered it. From Colorado to Delaware in 2 days... I'm happy!! Now just need a barrel, gas block, tube, and rail and it's time to make some noise...muhahahaha!!!!
Cali_Ed Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Nice, I wonder if they stopped giving the 2 dollar bill. What are your plans for a barrel. I think if I get a second upper ima get a heavy barrel. Just need to chick my options
Eastcoastlaxin Posted November 2, 2014 Author Report Posted November 2, 2014 I'm thinking 18.5" criterion from fulton armory or an 18" from ranier arms...know anything about the SOW barrels..they are 200.00??
Cali_Ed Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Not much you would have to ask easy. Yeah either the criterion or kreiger. I was also looking at the rainer ones
EasyEJL Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 No real news on those barrels. I haven't gotten one myself yet to compare so I can't really make any objective statements on them.
Cali_Ed Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 I know that I have some stains is what it looks like on my nib bcg
Eastcoastlaxin Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 I noticed some discolorations on mine near the actual bolt but didn't really inspect it real close.... Project is very much on the "covert side" and haven't had enough time to really look. I will and report back...
Eastcoastlaxin Posted November 5, 2014 Author Report Posted November 5, 2014 I had a chance to take a closer look at the BCG. There were just a few darker brown streaks.. Almost like a real light coffee stain. Took some remington oil and rubbed it onto the BCG... Stains gone.. It is a "dry" BCG from shipping and needs to be oiled prior to use... Not sure if you have used yours yet...
