  2. Hey R check out ar performance he is the guru on 6.8 his barrels are the nutz and priced right lotta info on his site....then drop on over to the 68forum...:) Wash http://www.ar15performance.com http://68forums.com/forums/forum.php
  3. 6.8 heck of a pig round besides a deer.....they say a 6.8 does 80% of a 308 at 300yds...and its ar 15 based which makes it cheaper and way lighter.....I've got 2 16 inchers and one 18 incher ......both are tack drivers :) Wash
  4. that SS stuff is super accurate out of any of my 6.8's You ought see the boyz stare at Char when she bangs the swingers out there at 500 with her lil fde 6.8 :) Wash
  5. And I thought I was the only old fart here ! <laughs> Wash
  6. "Though I'd stick with the Armalite style. I mean, once you're driving a Lincoln.....you don't wanna change over to a '73 chevette. " Yeah.....a '73 Lincoln = Armalite hahahaa isnt it the 21st century now? LOL :) Wash
  7. The K.I.S.S principle most always comes thru for me....and especially when dick'en around with the ar 308's gas/cycling system :) Wash brings to mind when I was fishing all the time.....all those products lining the shelves like lures and stuff...what do the lures catch first? Why the fisherman of course!
  8. Heavy buffer's from slash would be my choice...and for your ears while hunting get yourself some electronic ears.....you can hear the noises in the woods a lot better and then protect them when you go bang! :) Wash
  9. Hi Misto I resisted in drinking the Geissele kool aid for over a year, but yes they are sweet ssa-e was great in one 308,but the 3gun in another is just awesome and well worth it....you will shoot way better :) Wash
  10. Good for them and the folks that live there :) Wash
  11. Why do i need a 300 blackout if its not suppressed....and both of my colts 762x39 work fine? looking for a reason to build one Ha :) Wash
  12. for cheapo ebay is your friend....mostly china crap.but it will get you by :) Wash
  13. Like I said before...you can have a mismachined tube....try that spring buffer combo that gives you some space just to see if it locks back on a single round. :) Wash
  14. Nah dont tilt your head, just move the gun over to the left so you are sighting with left eye while both eyes are open your dominate left eye will take over...give it some practice time. Oh and the laser...ive got a couple..for night intruders, but if you say your hand shakes...the laser dot might frustrate you cause it will be jumping all over the place...I personally like night sights though :) Wash
  15. so, thats why shoot both eyes open, but position the gun a lil left so your dominate left eye takes over works for me :) Wash btw your targets arnt that bad either..good enough to punish the bad guy/ zombie.....a glock or any other type of combat gun ain't gonna be a bullseye shooter everytime either......so its all about the lead goin down the pipe...practice practice and some more :) Wash
  16. Hi Tac get yourself a tubbs superior spring...bout 30 bills....and a plain ol car 308 buffer....cant go wrong and your wallet stays fat ....no need for any other fancy stuff .....:) wash
  17. Welcome from Texas :) Wash
  18. Now you're talking! love all of mine....:) Wash
  19. Well there's your problem...same as me....you cant be consistent with this prob...i guess you know how the target jumps from one side to the other as you shut one eye....so me having the same prob as you.. i bring the gun over towards my left eye with the two handed grip,so my dominate eye takes over the sighting....to change my eye dominance it took the piece of scotch tape and thousands of rounds of shotshells shooting clays 4 times a week...I was stuck in c class sporting clays until I did the scotch tape thing.....2 seasons later AA....bingo! :) Wash
  20. So are you using slash's modified spring with his buffer like it sez in the chart? :) Wash
  21. One more thing....shooting with both eyes open...you gotta know which is your dominate eye....me...im screwd...im left handed...shoot handguns, rifles and shotguns right handed. and my left eye is dominate...not a problem with scoped rifles ,but shooting clays and pistols is a different story...both eyes open in shotgunning i put a small piece of opaque scotchtape on my left glasses lens in proper position in relation to barrel...just so my left eye couldnt focus on the clay...made my right eye dominate after several years of doing that, but now my left is dominate again....so now when i shoot hanguns(both eyes open) with a 2 handed grip my gun is kinda over to the left using my dominate left eye when sighting a target...works for me :) Wash
  22. SIGHT PICTURE is EVERYTHING!!!! Sights may be crude to non-estance, trigger pull can be auwfull, breath control down the tubes, but if the sight pic ic correct when the gun goes off, you WILL hit the target, AND your grip is everything ! :) Wash
  23. Cali take a read on this thread on the glock forum :) Wash http://glock.pro/glock-pistols/5005-sight-picture.html
  24. Here's a"busy" target.....shooting this will make you cross eyed then go blind....lol :) Wash [/url
  25. these arnt full size man targets as you can see my lovely holding them and gloating Ha they arnt as "busy" as the ones you are shooting at.....:) Wash
