  1. 98Z Yep! You remember the theme song? <thumbsup> how I got that bird was funny...american airlines freight called said my race parts were in from Cali....soooI get out to dfw freight bout 10pm...they didnt have it located so they let me and a AA guy go out to the doc and rumage thru the Cali incoming freight...all the time we were looking thru big piles of boxes I kept hearing this sqawking...went over to this big wooden big azz crate with all these separate boxes and in there were hundreds of these cockatoos....so wrote down what was on the manifold and then found my cylinder heads. next day i asked my bro if he was in on getting a baretta bird.he said yep...so i called this importer told them i was a pet dealer and send two birds <laughs> they did....those sob's were freakin mean....they could bite thru welders gloves <laughs>....so after as long time they got tame ...well my bro brings his over and it flew to the second story ceiling of my condo where the dinner table lamp chain was hangin from the second story...couldnt get it down.... the electric line for the light was wrapped inside the chain hangin from the ceiling...the freakin bird bit into the chain and 110 volt line which instantly blew the birds beak off its face <lmao> didnt kill it but the beak grew back all knarley <lmao>....his wife told him one day bout 6 months later the bird escaped somehow and flew away <lmao> Wash

  7. Remind me ,or I think its already posted here bout my home invasion....I do know what a 12 gauge pump sounds like when it fired into your sliding glass door of your patio's sliding glass door...and one person comes blowing thru the hole jacking another shell into his pump while you and your gal are butt nekkid you only have a 78rpm record in your hand to defend with <lmao>...and then another storms in with handgun......ill give ya a hint ...the big white cockatoo's cage took a lot of hits...okay guys what cop show had one? although he never talked again after takin that assault <dontknow> this is just them making entry damn these things happen so fast....i still had a nice erection <lmao>Wash
  8. Hi Triple Char's just getting her sight pictures down with handguns....she only has maybe 400rds down the pipe with a handgun.....she is prepping for her chl test with the shield..i might have messed up by putting it on there....may be too much info for eyes and brain?...well its got an on/off switch..so we will put it to the test.....we all must have that sight picture tucked away in the brain for that micro second of use right? :) Wash
  9. Hi Guys just got in a lasermax for Char's 9mm shield...this added piece fits like a glove and looks like it was molded with the gun....they are 130 bills which is too freakin much.but when you find one on ebay for 86 how can you not buy it? <lmao> sorry for the crap pic...from my cell phone :) Wash
  10. Here's the way i can tell em apart after 12am and coming from the apartments = gunfire sitting in lil red with my laptop connected to the obdi port and uploading my special tune=backfire backyard on fire, eybrows on me burnt off=fireworks <laughs> Wash
  11. Hi Brick Glad to have you here! although some of our members have had problems with their cmmg's and I myself would never have a cmmg after the way the factory treated our members...for resale's sake put a cmmg upper on it so its not a franken gun....but then again ive have some franken guns on my ar15 platforms...do you care bout resale? :) Wash
  12. Hi 392 Good job! Congrats! <thumbsup> Wash
  13. Hi Sdd "Damn, those were the days. " thats for sure! in 7th grade all the boys had .22cal blank guns/starter pistols which we got from the magic shop downtown. almost every day on the playground after lunch we would choose bad guys and cops and have gun fights with the blank guns! the teachers never said a word! Can you imagaine that happening now days?? And yes I almost lost the tip of my finger with that blank gun <laughs> it took about three days until I just had to find out how that blank thing worked and how to open it up? <lmao>......so took that blank thingy and put it in a pair of pliers and squeezed it to try to open it up and see what made it work....yes it worked when it went off in the pliers and my finger right there <lmao>....my finger was bleeding and burnt <lmao> then my butt got burnt by the azz whoopin from my Dad <laughs> Yep....those were the days! <laughs> Wash
  14. Sure Thing! :) Wash
  15. Good Call Dusty! Then all that should matter (correct this Washguy, if needed) is that the set screw closest to the breech fits into the hole/dimple closest to the breech and that with a finger closing the breech end, a breath of air blown into the muzzle escapes through the gas tube. Then Lock-Tight the two set screws and torque them down. :) Wash
  16. Hey Ma I cant hear crap.....but I can tell the difference between all of the above. In my " hood" on the 4th and New Years Eve I can tell what is a fire work, handgun, and shotgun going off :) Wash
  17. Rene I think I posted here on the forum the pic of the charging handle......what was I thinking to let him do this? sheesh! <laughs> Wash
  18. Hi Plane On my first 308 build last year I took her out for the first time using Privi 150 gr in the blue box....yep blew three or four primers.....Privi suks <laughs> on top of that....on the last primer problemo the primer stuck up the whole works....couldnt break open the rifle and couldnt pull back on the charging handle....the range guy sees this and pulls out a big ol rubber mallet and proceeds to beat the crap out of my brand new Mega's charging handle.....yep the bcg came back...opened the rifle took out the bcg and charging handle that was hard to take out of upper....the charging handle had a 10 degree bend from the beating....range guy and Privi both suk! <lmao> Wash
  19. Hi Btate you didnt say whether it was a dpms super sass barrel...if its that....it has its own specific gas block you must use :) Wash
  20. Hey Btate Im thinkin you are gtg by the way it looks...if it goes into battery and I do see a correct space there on the outside of the barrel, but cant "judge" the exact amount of tube in the upper....I say go shoot it...not worrying bout the allen closest to the muzzle...where it ends up. if it cycles you are golden! :) Wash
  21. Hi Btate I went and got a 308 out of the gunsafe and using a dial indicater...the gas tube on this 308 protrudes 0.9230 into the upper measuring from the end of the extension....that help? :) Wash
  22. Hi Btate Is there any possible way you can contact the seller of the barrel and ask him what gas block he had on there?....that would make things easy...then you could get that gas block....those indents were done by someone that had a specific gas block inhand.....thats would I would do....prolly not what you wanna hear. :) Wash
  23. Hi Btate ! In short nope, since you dont know the history of the barrel. You never wanna push the gb all the way to the last ridge and then tighten down....cause remember if you had an old school handguard the end plate would be there.....and you cant have the gas tube going into the upper too far.. Here's what I would do: install your barrel with your barrel nut that comes with your rail. of course you will refer to your rail instructions.....so after the barrel is on I would slide the gb on the barrel...of course the gas tube is already installed on gb....use the indent closest to the extension and tighten down allen screw leaving the screw closest to muzzle out...so now you have the gas tube lined up in the barrel nut going into the upper....now take the upper out of the claw, point the muzzle down and drop the bcg/handle into the upper...it should go into battery...if it does ...then thats the proper position of gb....so back out the screw a lil apply loctite to it tighten down.....then do the same thing with the other allen head...you r'e not caring where it is relative to indent. The space between the gb and the ridge should be about a credit card thickness away...... :) Wash
