  1. I know it hasn't happened yet but just be careful that the fan doesn't spark and ignite the propellants/flammable material in the paint fumes. THAT WOULD SUCK! :o PS I've done something similar to that myself so I'm not the one to talk. <thumbsup>
  2. A MUST WATCH video: http://www.villagepawnandgunshop.com/gunsafes.html

  4. The only thing wrong with coated anything when it comes to cleaning is that the coating over time can become embedded with debri which could possibly cause damage to the lining of the barrel. Fiberglass in my opinion is the way to go.
  5. Nothing like stepping out your back door and cracking off 100 rounds to remind the neighborhood that it wouldn't be wise to screw with anything on your property. <thumbsup>

  12. Also don't forget that if the SHTF you may have to acquire your own food and a 308 on very small game is going to do too much damage. A good .22 cal rifle is a good choice for smaller game and you can purchase a ton of ammo CHEAP.
  13. WTF is WTF? JK (Just Kidding)! <thumbsup>

  16. There are different levels of customer service in my opinion. Fantastic Good So So Poor I had always read good things about the customer service at Larue but I have to be honest. The moment I called to place my order I was not feeling a warm and fuzzy about things. It was just too much straight and to the point and yep, we'll place your order. I felt like I was interrupting something and the person on the phone just wanted to get me off as quick as possible. No discussion as to options was even offered which in my opinion is not only good customer service but good salesmanship. I sort of let that go but that's not where it ends. On November 12th I sent an email to Larue in regards to a magazine issue I was having. If I put any pressure to the rear or upward on the magazine it fails to eject a spent cartridge and tries to feed a live cartridge causing a jam. I'm thinking the magazine is out of tolerance and causing problems. Nov 16 sent a follow up email to Larue making sure they had seen my initial email as I had not heard back from them. Nov 22nd received an email that they have been really busy but had forwarded my initial email to the gun department and were still waiting for a response. Today (15 January) I sent another email informing them that I was still awaiting a response to my issue. They are getting very close to a rating of "Poor" with me right now.
